Sexually Transmissable Infections (STIs) are infections that are commonly passed on through close body contact or the exchange of body fluids between two or more people. Put simply, you can contract an STI by having sex with an infected partner.

Most STIs may be treated and potentially cured if detected early. Your doctor or sexual health clinic will usually recommend a course of antibiotics to treat the infection. STI treatment must be prescribed by a registered medical practitioner.
